sump gasket

td looks as if it has a leak from sump gasket. does the sump drop enough to be able torenew it or does the engine need to be lifted. ta in advance  :) :)

You also need to clean both sides were the gasket sits or you will have to replace it again in a couple of days. just dropping the sump a couple of cms is no good mate.

As long as the sump can be lowered a few cms. onto the cross-member, you should be okay.

But, you'll need to remove all of the old gasket, and ensure that all mating surfaces are 'clinically clean' before carefully refitting.
