Not watched F1 for years as it got too boring,so I'll skip comment on that. However Crutchlow on pole is a fantastic achievement!Hopefully he and his tyres will last the distance and he'll bring in a good result.Meanwhile in GP2 Redding has not had a good time of qualifying, hopefully he too can still bring home a good result in the race.Whichever way it goes for him he will still lead the championship going into next weeks Silverstone round and by so doing will be the first Brit since Sheene to do this.

Crutchlow has been asking for the same tank/seat unit as Rossi/Lorenzo for quite a while. It alters the weight distribution and was hoped it would sort his problem of being relatively slow on full tank (in race setup) and going a lot faster towards the end of the race as the fuel load lightened.
He got his wish at the last round, but the result was a bit strange. He certainly went a lot quicker early in the race, but the more fuel he used up the harder he found it to ride the bike, and the slower he went.
Unless the team have found a solution to the problem,I would expect a similar scenario at this race. Although that may be lessened to some degree by the fact that this track seems to suit the Yamahas a bot more than some of the previous ones.
Scott Redding is having a superb season (apart from today). It seems to have gone largely unnoticed, but we could well have a Brit world champion at the end of the year. I rate him highly, and think he deserves more attention in the specialist press than he gets.
For some unknown reason though,Bradley Smith seems to be the darling of the bike press. ???
I share your concern BUT surely qualifying would be with an almost empty tank (so more like the condition towards the end of the race) :-\

In terms of fuel load yes,but everything else will be setup differently for qualifying, so that could make the problem disappear in qualifying trim but be a nightmare during the races. Rossis problems (mostly front end feel & turning in on the brakes) are more evident in qualifying apparently, but come and go at random during races. But only at some tracks, not all of them. Complex beasts these MotoGp bikes.

I see the gay little German has died his hair a bit more blonde for this round.

What a tit. ;D

I know wtf was he thinking  :o :o :o

Maybe it's his version of go faster stripes  :-X

Well it didn't work where Hamilton put him firmly in 2nd place.  :y ;D ;D ;D

I hope he spends all of the race tomorrow looking at the back of Hamilton's car.  :y :y :y

Like I always say, shame it didn't rain a little.

That always sorts out the drivers from those with fast cars.

Alonso was class at the start as usual.

Yep, need to up his race craft. Still it was good practice for binning it at Silverstone as he seems to make a habit of that at the British GP.  :o :o :o :o

How is this related to Adrian Newey? You just like stating again and again he cannot drive, clearly personal opinions involved here as being World Champion plus a dominating previous race, he can drive.  ;)

It's ironic really, the Brit is doing really well, let down by a shite German car eating its rear tyres  ::)
