Title: Nothing to do with Omegas
Post by: Auto Addict on 27 August 2006, 15:04:59
But I've had a great morning, serviced the wife's clit, oil, oil filter, plugs and air filter.

Then set about Waxoyling the underbody, how much easier it is with a car on ramps.

Well done AA  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I on the other hand have shoved about a 1ltr of coolant in my meega.....as 'check coolant' came on this morning.

And just know took the radio/clock display out on my Veccy again....I changed all 3 bulbs in it yesterday...as one had blown.....and this morning noticed a bulb at the other end wasnt working....cursed Halfrauds for selling me a duff bulb....but i take that back now....it was bad contact on the circuit board with the bulb holder....so gave all three bulb holders a tweak...all 3 bulbs work fine now  :)

I know im going to be renting it out so didnt need to bother really.....but little things like that bug me....and i like things to be perfik  ;)

Used my Halfords trade card.

S/Plugs R-16.99 : T-9.48 : saving 7.51

For the wifes clit:-

Oil Filter R-7.79 : T-2.90 : saving 4.89
Air Filter R-9.29 : T-2.44 : saving 6.85
S/Plugs R-11.99 : T-5.28 : saving 6.71

Not bad....saving £25.96

Good prices there AA  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I bought oil filter for veccy £1.15 Retail it was £3.49
Bought 5 litres of 10-40 semi as well carnt remember the price but about a fiver off......could have got for a couple quid cheaper at vx dealer but......couldnt be bothered the extra trip....plus i would have to have bought 20ltr's to get it that cheap.

They dont stock air filters for VectraC's  :( Going to vx dealer on Wed to buy two......eventually convinced my neighbour opposite....who's also a taxi driver....that he doesnt need to keep spending £200-£300 every couple months on getting his Veccy 2.0 diesel serviced by vx dealer)

Said I change the air filter for him.....not been changed in 40k miles apparently....then oil change.....which i wont do.....so that'll cost him £35 in the garage I use.....i checked his brake pads... there fine....so it'll be job done and only cost him about £45  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

The standard service on a clit is about £100 more than the standard service on an Omega. :o

The car now runs like a dream, wife is really impressed. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

No, had a funny sort of day, frequent showers here, bought some more bits and bobs from Halfords and tidied up the garage instead.
