No probs. with this site, but if I go to the 'other' site, it opens up OK, then I click on the Omega section and IE6 SP2 displays a blank page and reports 'done'.

Running Win XP SP2 Home Ed.

Any ideas anyone...searched the net and can't find a solution.

Sorry if I upset anyone by posting here.

Just getting into my car on Tesco's car park this morning, prior to going to the golf club to play in a pairs cup match (which we won 2 and 1), when this bloke approached me and said 'What a beautiful car, just swopped mine for a Lexus, worst thing I ever did, don't know why I did it, it drives nothing like the Omega, I wake up at night thinking about what I've done. I'm on the look out for a 2003 CDX, can't wait to get back behind the wheel of an Omega again"

He was almost, but not quite, crying. :'(

I mentioned this web site (always ready for a plug), but he doesn't have a computer. :(

All he want's is another Omega. :)

General Discussion Area / Just noticed.......
« on: 05 August 2006, 07:55:19 »
...that we have 37 registered members yet to make a post.

No problem with that if they have nothing to say, but do some people register, look around and then lose interest?

Just an observation, not trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. :)

One of the best things about this site, apart from the technical support, is that we have very own Omega Owners chat section.

Couldn't always be bothered reading the general chat on the 'other site'.

General Discussion Area / T-Cut v. Brasso
« on: 26 July 2006, 12:15:45 »
I always really clean my car once a year with Brasso.

Method :-

Bucket of hot water.

Cheesecloth.

Brasso.

Soak the cheescloth in the hot water, and apply Brasso to cloth.

Working on a small area a a time, gently clean that area, rinsing out the cloth regularly, and apply more Brasso.

I keep the cloth fairly wet.

Polish off.

Car comes up like new!

Apply car polish and finish.

Any thoughts.

Brasso is cheaper than T-Cut.

General Discussion Area / Warning - Remove keys from ignition
« on: 26 July 2006, 07:09:38 »
I was approaching a petrol station yesterday when a BMW convertable roared into the traffic flow, with a distraught lady running after it.

The car overtook everything, with the oncomming traffic having to swerve out of it's path.

She must have left the keys in the ignition whilst she went to pay.

Moral..ALWAYS REVOVE THE KEY'S FROM THE IGNITION BEFORE FILLING WITH PETROL, AND ALWAYS LOCK YOUR CAR WHEN YOU GO TO PAY.

Does anyone have any knowledge about changing the auto gearbox oil in a 1993 Renault clit 1.4 RT?

The handbook does not mention auto transmission fluid at all.

There was this Elite Estate parked with the driver and his wife just loading the shopping.

I remarked on the condition, very well kept with a personalised number plate, got chatting and mentioned this forum.

He seemed very interested, and said he would have a look when he got home.

Could have a newbie.
