With Jamesv6cdx,what a man. What he does not know about omegas, you could write on a very small water biscuit ;D ;D :D.Went down to meet james friday, nice coffee waiting. And then on with the work,he did stat, cam cover gaskets, atf, and full service.Explained everything he was doing,as best he could to a lame brain like me ;D.He noticed the auxiliary belt looked a bit furberd, and the cam belt was due soon.So like the kind of guy he is,he rings dealers and friends in the parts trade.Gets me all the parts that day,and with a massive discount. He then works till 8.30,and brings the car to my hotel.Stays a has a beer with me and the wife, great conversations, and a few laughs. It was great meeting you and your girlfriend mate :y,the car is running like a dream.I will be coming down soon to do a few odds and sods, but on a more social basis.I can highly recommend james to all on OOF,i know this post goes on a bit.But in light of the OOF thread, this is to me.What OOF is about nice people you meet, who do an excellent job.Thank once again james :) :y.Dean

Omega General Help / Very worried some advice please
« on: 01 March 2012, 19:01:52 »
Good evening everybody, had a bit of a scare this morning. On the way to work it was getting very fogy, for the last 4 miles on the m6 i turned my fog lights on.I have to add i have not used them for well over 12 months, pulled up at work. There was a smell of burning and smoke, coming from the drivers side vent.I turned the fog lights off and the smoke stop ed,is this what caused it.Or something else,i know its said use it or loose it.But its really worrying me,i have had a look behind the switches cant see any problems(burning ect).If it is this is there a fuse i can pull to disconnect it,drove home tonight no problems.I hope this is not a power sounder problem, any advice most welcome. Thanks a very worried Moggy :o.
