Did not want the meetings thread to get hijacked, so posting here....
Unfortunately, my daughter has been admitted to hospital with a suspected form of meningitis. She was in Horton, Banbury, but has gone downhill and been transferred to the John Radcliffe, Oxford.
Thanks to those who have posted or been in touch. Appreciated :y
Hence will not make the Kent meeting. :(

Despite criticisms, the NHS works wonders when it's really needed, so your daughter will get the best of cqare and treatment.

Update...
My daughter has been discharged from hospital....with no proper diagnosis. Still cannot walk unaided, and feels very rough. All she has been told to do by a consultant is to do head massage exercises, and take any medication her GP prescribes ??? ??? ??? She is signed off for a month !! Only 'diagnosis' is from her GP who on Monday said she has been seriously ill with a viral complaint and will take a long time to fully recover.
She insisted on coming here yesterday as it was Christine's birthday, and by jove, she looked poorly. Never seen her like this.
We can only wait. She passes on her thanks to you guys, for your kind messages :y

good to hear she's on the mend , time and meds will do the trick .

On the negative side it sounds a bit poor that there's been no proper diagnosis. However the positives are that she's been deemed well enough to be discharged, and while she may not look or feel at all well she's at least able to get out and about even if only with a bit of a struggle and only for a short while.Wishing her well in her recovery :y
-
There seem a lot of unnamed viruses around lately. My SIL had something on those lines and was never diagnosed but she made a full recovery so hope this is the case with your daughter.
-
Very glad there's a 'happy ending' with this one. Hope she's 100% soon. :y
