part nr thermostat housing seal
« on: 24 January 2009, 21:15:18 »

does anyone knows the part number for the sealing between thermostat housing and cylinder head on omega x20xev -97.
Or even better, know how to find it?

Called the local opel dealer to purchase a few parts, but it didn't help me much, the kind old man on the other end of the line was more or less useless :)

I got one free with my new thermostat - QH do just the stat and sealing ring (no need for he expensive ally housing) - think it's classed as a repair kit and about £7 vs £20-odd for the whole thing.

It's just a thin rubber o-ring - although the old one won't look like that.  Even came with some rubber grease to hold it in the groove for refitting!

Depends on the thermostat housing fitted. Is it the round sea or the square seal?

Round seal 9119844

Square gasket seal 90502878
Double check and let me know
