No idea... It's in the garage getting some work done to it to make it completely stupid to drive.

Do you mean the sidelights while ignition is on??

There is a fuse in the fusebox specifically for it. I think its Fuse 8...

Still has issues Jimbob :(

Works fine in the Plodder tho, so it rules out a dodgy thingymabob!

As TheBoy and MDTM both know (from using their Tech2's), the diagnostics socket on the Elite is a bit dodgy.  Just wondering if its an easy job to replace it or repair it at all?  I need to be able to do some techy2 work before long when the engine goes in, so want to get it fixed before I do!

Cheers :)

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / CD-SAFE (CCRT700)
« on: 18 September 2007, 10:40:05 »
Only me again...

Just replaced the battery on the Omega, I've put in the code for the Radio, so now that works, but I don't know how to enter the code for the CD Changer.

It was working fine before, but since doing the battery, when I press CD, it displays CD-SAFE on the GID.

I've not tried entering any codes yet (have the carpass here with the code on it) as I don't know how to do it??

I've tried:

Turning the Ignition on, but radio off, then holding the CD Button. (as per CCR800 instructions in the manual)

But there is nothing listed for the CCRT700 in my manual :(

Help!

Well I'm going to get some conductive paint and try get these pads working... There is better conductivity between 2 of my own fingers than across one of those pads according to the multimeter...

Sort of fiddly little jobs which break out when you fit silver dash rings... bloody annoying!  ;D

10
Not sure... I just tested the switches on the dash and they aren't working...  just removed the conductive pads, and there is very little resistance over them... wonder if they are goosed aswell...???

Press and hold the clock button as you would on older mids?

Tried, does nothing.  Also tried manually bridging the connectors on the PCB of the display to rule out faulty buttons, again nothing   :-/

Just wondering, the MID display on my CCRT700 sets its time and date automatically via the radio.  I can't make it do manual input at all.

Is it a Tech2 job to enable manual time input if there is an aftermarket radio or no radio fitted?  I've tried doing it with the CCRT removed, but it won't allow me to set the time...

Cheers :)

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: drivers electric window problem
« on: 28 February 2009, 21:47:38 »
Have you tried resetting the window??

Fully close it, then hold the switch in "Close" position till you hear a click??

Other than that, I'd guess either another faulty switch, or regulator like you say  :-/

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Heated saet

I have traced my heated seat fault to the seat back heater pad and not the base.
Has any one else had this part fail???? and is there a common place where the wire breaks or anything that i can look for??

I have at the moment bridged the wire so that i have at least the seat base heat pad working till i can fix the rear pad.

Any thoughts?

Yes...

Smelt like burning cat... noticed smoke, then flames...
Needless to say the leather is goosed & I lost a perfectly good bottle of water in the process  >:(

Won't work as the rev counter will read wrong aswell.  He will need a set from a 2ltr.
