Omega General Help / Re: Suspect ECU
« on: 30 December 2007, 21:28:08 »
if any of you guys suspect anECU on any car try ATP,products in hednesford staffs(they have a web site) what these guys dont know about ECUs isnt worth knowing! they will check one out for you while you wait 1hr aprox if they know your coming or send by post, cost if iremember is very reasonable. you can always talk a problem thru with one of the tech guys.i understand they also write or rewrite ecu progs for some car makers. :y

Omega General Help / Re: tools for cam cover gaskets.
« on: 30 December 2007, 10:57:34 »
if you can , what i did was strip it all down on one day, replaced the gaskets, then left the job overnight before  reasembley. its what we try and do if we get one to do in our workshop. mine has now done 7000miles and no drips or smell of hot oil. :y

Newbie Welcome Area / newbie
« on: 28 December 2007, 18:56:29 »
hi all, have been on the site since july and have just got round to posting on the site!! i needed a large estate car at the begining of the year to be able to transport 4 dogs and my other half regulaly to cornwall and back,so, remembering back to 1997 and a 2.0ltr cd estatei once owened i started the search.  i found on ebay a genuine 2owner 52k with history 3.0 elite estate. had a few probs ,needed a new battery, cam box seals, couple of tyres etc but a sound car nevertheless.  yes! the car does what it says on the tin, it will do 120+(test track) it will do30mpg, it will return from truo to brum at an avv speed on the computer of 78mph in 3hrs,uses no oil or water so you could say im over the moon! i find the site very informative.i have 30yrs in the motortrade in a workshop, i am an MOT testerdo paint and bodywork and vehicle diognostics so if any of you out there maybe need a helping hand with a tech question give me a shout i may or may not know the answer!! phew!.....kind regards to you all.
