cheers chaps.....  will give them a call.....   (yes got ISP at home,   it's just that sometimes the back top floor of our place gets a bit useless on wifi , and 3 G used to kick in.....     , and now doesn't )

is it just my iPhone dying,  or has Orange/EE's 3G service gone tits up recently???    where i've previously had full bar 3G ,  (for example sainsbury's on the ring road),  or the top floor of our house,  i now have none....  been like that for several days.....

bit of an arse when i need to use internet banking to check funds  before putting fuel in.....   (i keep the card account i carry deliberately short on funds in case of loss or theft or fraud,   and only transfer funds in when i know i'm going to need them)

Cars for Sale & wanted / 3.2 mv6 auto estate 2001
« on: 25 August 2013, 12:25:23 »
156k miles
silver.

£750

taxed till end of may 2014
MOT TO OCT 5th 2013

running,  (new HBV fitted)
with a half tank of unleaded

very clean body work,   no rust on doors,  etc....     only a bit on the tailgate,  (not much)  and a couple of surface scrapes on rear bumper.

good clean (original)  leather interior, with load cover and luggage net/dog guard.

NCDC 2013 , sat nav,, etc all working. with spare changer cart.

 the usual cruise control etc,

relatively recent bits

all new OE shortened (lowered chassis) Mv6 Shocks,   new rear OE shortened Mv6 springs,   front wishbones, roll bar bushes & drop links,   new brake pads all round, cam cover gaskets done,

pre-cat sensor move done...

bad bits,

will need 1 tyre (rear nearside) and an O2 sensor for MOT ,  (EML on, only code stored is for heater circuit open circuit on left secondary O2 sensor)

could maybe use a new crank sensor ,  as there's a slight oil leak from around it,  presumably there's some sort of seal ring or something on the assembly that's failed.

aircon compressor bearings suspect,  and aircon needs regassing.

HID headlights could use a sand and polish. (but are fully functional)

essentially see previous advert.......      but i've done the HBV so it actually drives......

assorted pictures....  some recent , some not so recent,   it still washes and polishes up as good as in any of them,.

other hints and tips for flying ryan air

1) don't do it

2) if you absolutely have to,  like,  because you can't paddle a canoe,  can't walk, crawl,  or hitch a lift on a passing tortoise.....  then

A)  hand luggage,  nothing bigger than a laptop case.....

B) get a set of luggage scales,   calibrate them, and then make sure you're 10% UNDER the luggage allowance....

C) do not eat, drink, or breathe while onboard.

D) if you have spine issues,  or other painful ailments,  take plenty of pain meds

E) make sure you evacuate bowels and bladder before boarding,   do not be tempted by a last minute coffee in the costa/starbucks in the departures area.

F)  in case you're not sure,   really, taking a f3ckin donkey will get you where your going with less hassle,  more speed, and actually take you to your destination.

General Car Chat / Re: Vauxhall Monza Coming Back Apparently...
« on: 24 August 2013, 00:26:41 »
'It has been 16 years since the death of Vauxhalls' last big coupe, the Calibra...'

Who writes this shite ;D The Monaro was sold until 2007, which even my fingers and toes makes only 6 years ago, and it was a damn site bigger than a two door Chavalier hatchback ::)

Looks like it might be a badge engineered Cadillac CTS Coupe :-\ time will tell...

not only that,   but

Quote
The Monza name has been used before in the UK on an Opel-badged coupe, which later became the Vauxhall Royale.

scuse me???   LATER????

historically ignorant whippersnapper

I think it's reasonably well known i'm a massive sennie fan.....   i've quite literally driven to the moon and back in them.....

i think i'd rather have the red one on fleabay to be honest....

irmscher kit on a mig,  awesome,   but i always felt it looked a bit crap on the sennie....

despite the slating for all sorts of reasons ,  like reliability and crash test performance,  i really liked my Sintra V6.....    if you consider Zafira as astra 7 seater... SIntra was Omega 7 seater,  same 3.0 v6 as well......

wrong wheel drive,  but helluva thing ,  stable at high speeds,  solid cornering,  massive load carrying abilities,  get 7 people AND luggage for 2 weeks INSIDE the vehicle......

and 28mpg.  at 85-90

fan bloody tastic ,  while it worked......   but getting parts was a bloody nightmare.
