I wish we could have made this one :( We have guests and even if we didn't, there is absolutely no way on Earth that SWMBO is fit enough for a long journey and socialising so soon after surgery :'(

Perhaps next time ;)

Well done, sounds like another great Bucks meet :y

Paul, we all totally respect your ( and swmbo's) situation. Would have been silly to come all that way. Have no fear, I will set up more meets in the New Year :y
Good news.... I just hope that the new business has taken off enough that I can employ someone so I can have the time off! ::) ::)

With the number of numpties around, I'm sure you'll be well away :y Turns out I missed nothing by not working this weekend :-\
At least as your own boss the descision of when to work is (in theory) yours. :y

Yes and no... It's a 24/7, nationwide business (I have bought a franchise) so I am responsible for arranging cover ;)

Could you arrange an area swap? Say a weekend on call in another area, in exchange for a weekend on call in a B+B in Bury StEdmunds? :-\
Seriously though, I do sympathise with the time/work enigma. My breaks tend to be governed by the bank, so invariably I end up at work, Newent being a case in point. :-\
