General Car Chat / Re: Car Tax Scaremongering
« on: Yesterday at 09:01:40 »
I believe a few years ago they talked of putting extra taxes on fuel and scrapping car tax.

So Pensioners for example who did a 3 mile round trip for a weekly shop would benefit, The reps who drive a 1000+ miles a week then pay more. All based I suppose a way of paying  only for the wear and and tear of the damage to the roads.

Downside is the haulage companies pay more then charge more and the costs are passed on for groceries, goods and other trades.

Pro's and con's each way, no matter what it would p/ss some people off

I know a lot of members have family and friends abroad etc. :y

I used to use Skype a lot with out issues, used several programs since. :y

To night I have been chatting with a friend in the US and it keeps crapping out.  Tried FB messenger, tried Google chat (New one on me)  they both set off crystal clear then after a while sounds like submarine sonar kicks in and kills the call.

Any recomendations T.I.A.  :y

I was starting to like the guy, watched a lot on Youtube about him.

There is talk of a Tesla Mobile Phone, Planes, Boats even helicopters.  ::)

Technology wise he is a genius and has made a difference in a lot of areas.  :y

BUT, politics is an area he should keep out of (unless it's his own country.)  We all have opinions but don't forecast them bluntly over social media.  :-X

I just put my ML through the IMO car wash every now & then through the winter months ..... far easier!  :)

I am still looking for a Bikini Car Wash like the one Jimbob used.  Plus in this cold weather I would be happy to pay double and give a good tip. ::) ::) :y

Does it really matter what the PSI is rated at?

1000 PSI or 3000 PSI just stand further back when using it. ::)

I only get roughly 7 litre/min from the outside tap after doing a bucket test.

The pressure washer I sent a link to pumps 11 litres/min.....so I guess the pump would be on and off 'hunting' as it searches for more water.

My Nilfisk pumps at only 5.2litres/min.

Create a water feed from a plastic 45 gallon water butt,  put a shut off valve in and a secure lid on it water supply becomes constant then. :y

When there was a Silicone shortage car prices shot through the roof, are they taking the piss by keeping the prices high or are they now realising people just don't want EV's

My colour choice is Grey
Then Grey ::)
China Blue If thats what its called.
Depending on car shape/make/model then Red.

Detest White cars
Black looks dirty the moment its on the road, but looks amazing on the right car (S Class etc)
