I came to a conclusion that ZF-s are 5 speed. Is there a 4 speed version cause this one has 4 speed auto box?

On it's way from Adriatic sea old ladies radiator decided to crack  >:(

Since I haven't manage to find new one, I decided to by used one, it just happens it came with the rest of the car attached at the back of it

2.5 DTI manuial, full leather, no faults, no smoke (surprisingly)  ac works, rust on usual places. I'm almost feeling sorry for turning her into organ donor..

We completed another road trip. I still enjoy driving her, although low ground clearance and RWD are not the best option for these kind of trips. Most of the sightseeing we done I had to cover with extreme caution, but we succeeded.
New rear springs and shock absorbers are waiting to be fitted ( Omega is sitting low at the back), she needs a new clutch, headliner is sagging, and summer Michelins are on there way out. I'll not chase new 16'' as I'm looking for factory 5 spoke Omega 17'' . Chances are that they will bee attached to the rest of the car  :D
Also I'm planning decarbonization treatment, hopefully we will reduce CO2 emission, and some of that black smoke when driving full throttle. Friend of mine who patented this treatment says that it will improve performance of the engine also.

Did they BMWfy it then :-\

Mind you, no wonder they go bang if you turn the boost up...

I got through 3 in 2 months IIRC, before finally managing to get an AR35 which cured it.  Not sure what the 5 speed one was fitted to the 24v common rail TDs that euroland got, when we had to make do with the 2.2dti

Not so good news.
Since late September, Omega won't start. Stupid BMW engine decided to die without any warning or reason.
I drove her normally, parked, and after couple of hours she wouldn't start.
Long story short. After 2 mechanics and changed basically everything ( HPFP, lift pump, presure sensors, cam-crank sensors, ecu, injectors etc) I'm ready to throw the towel. I need to collect her from this second and probably last mechanic with no result.
Car starts with start spray, and dies as soon as I stop spraying. Diagnostics show low rail pressure, there is normal fuel feed after fuel filter ( I changed lift pump anyway ) but it just wont start.
Any ideas before I attack her with grinder??

Airlock in the fuel system?

Although if you've been running it on Ether then you may as well bin it. That stuff is like catnip...

Diesels need fuel, air and compression to run. Remove any one of those things and it will crank until the starter burns out or the battery dies.

Fresh update from this morning:
Mechanic sad that no start was caused by lack of pressure somewhere between HPFP and injectors ( which he sorted), and other problem is ECU ( immobiliser is making some sort of problem) which should bi sorted today. It is possible since I changed ecu and immobiliser chasing no start problem at the first place...

No start on a diesel is almost always a lack of fuel. But using starting fluid repeatedly washes the cylinders down and compression dies off so you don't get the combustion pressure for it to run.

Bleeding them can be an absolute bastard, but as long as you're methodical, it's a straightforward enough process.
