The best No Hiding Place was earlier from 1958-59. in full B & W glory with a Wolsley in the opening credits. Later episodes, to 1967, lacked the earlier 'magic'. Z Cars was a real change in TV police drama from 1962

I did once read somewhere that the "Z" cars in the series were actually yellow as this showed up on screen more as white than a white car would have.

There is one in a very similar position, and state, as i drive over to see my brother. P reg, dark blue 2.5. Hasn't moved for about ten years.

I found out today that the reason for parking it up was due to a failed coil pack. It seems nobody was prepared to remove the original coil pack to identify which coil pack was needed

That's only got the single pack,bolted on back of block on a plate.

I know .... I used to have an Omega & have changed one

but there was a choice of 3(?), and Vx couldn't tell you which one until you'd put the old coil pack on their parts counter.
