Free to good home. Due to time waster
« on: 23 March 2024, 09:11:55 »

Due to health and family problems. I am getting rid of my two Omegas, free to anyone who wants them. They will need to be trailered as no mot on them.

One is a 1995 2ltr Estate. These are the things I have done to it.

replaced cat with a Type approved 2.2 one and new o2. Also blanked egr. Removed Secondary air system. And fitted a new manifold.

replaced all brakes. Just need to remove surface rust off brake discs before mot. Replaced the back diff as original was whining.

Got loads of spares, including four doors. It has had a replacement front screen aswell.

The other is a 2.6 Saloon. It has not long gone out of Mot. So also will need trailering.

I have replaced the complete drive shaft. That failed mot. Brake pipes cleaned up ok. It has always started no problem.

The reg No for estate, is N659CNO. Reg for saloon is FM51LDE. If you wish to check mot history of them.

They will make nice projects for anyone, with time.  Will need them gone As soon as possible.
I am near Junction 61 of the A1.

Put the spare doors inside the car and there's £500 worth of scrap there. They'll be gone as soon as the scrap man can fit you in.

PM Sent. Happy to make a donation to charity for one of them if you won't accept anything at all. I currently don't have a working car and it would be a big help :y

Half a dozen screws to remove the grill.  Disconnect battery, then two (allen bolts if my memory serves) under the airbag to remove it, then one large nut holding the steering wheel on.  bang the underside of the wheel each side in turn with your hands to free it. Careful it doesnt suddenly free itself from the shaft and whack you in the face.
Best to leave the nut loose but still on the shaft until the wheel is loose,
Then take the £200 for the rest and sell the grill and wheel on here or ebay.  :y

Have you sold it yet / are you actively looking to do so? I’m in need of parts, could be a good donor and £200 is cheaper than I’d pay at breakers ….

I don’t want the steering wheel etc if you have a standard one to refit? :y

My recent experience of giving away free stuff, hasn't been great. It works OK until the interested parties start making the rules, about not wanting to pick up the parts and can it be posted, because they can't be arsed to make the effort. Sadly now, it's all boxed up and it's going to the dump on my next trip...lesson learn't ::)
