so they can be recoded?

the key was one i purchased when i bought the car, cost me 100 quid, the stereo can only really be installed by another omega owner as a replacement for a faulty one. also the blue tooth stereo's are crap, my mate has one and it very dodgy, he prefers mine, but he has a bmw so it wont fit, also the dealer is simply sending it to auction

squeek squeek..... :D :D :D :D not giving the dealer more of a bargain than i need to, also removing the spair tyre (new), ccrt700 stereo n changer (on ebay at the mo ;D) i would keep the air in the alloys if i could ;D ;D
are the keys recodable

cars being traded in tomorrow, i was wondering if it was worth selling the spare key on feebay,

7
looking to trade in my mig on a newer car,, am going to remove the stereo, the stereo takes the sim card as you all know, so it will be up for grabsn the sim is the original sim that was in when car was new, and it will have some credit on, the only thing is the volume on the unit doesnt work i think, but i used the volume on the steering wheel, which works as it should, also will be removing the boot changer, all codes included, feel free to send in any offers if any one is interested.. but what do they go for £££££££££££ :D

8
sorry but i still think the boy is correct and blue led's are GAY :P :P :P :P

9
i have this on feebay for sale, may fit an oofers stereo, thought some one may be interested.  :)

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: CCRT700 problems

I have retro fitted CCRT700 into MV6 by modifying a TM loom.

Got some problems though.

Tuner - first use, constantly scanning for channels. Fine once I've pressed a preset until next time I turn it on.

Phone - no volume control.

General - No SDVC

General - No diagnostics

Any ideas?

The problem is the stereo is an old one, i have a prob with my vol control on the radio its self, doesnt do anything but the steering wheel works ok tho, the tuner sounds like its sticking,  try cleaning the tuning button out as much as you can, blast a bit of air in there. thats all from the BBM :y

Matter of taste.  But I detest this fascination with gay blue leds...

Omega wasn't designed to be illuminated with LEDs, so there are issues.

All gay blue LEDs are ultrabrights. This makes the indicators on the switches (above radio, window switches, etc) distractingly bright.  May be able to tone down slightly via resistors.  Also, gay blue LEDs have a very narrow angle, which means the light guides for illuminating controls (climate, backlightinging for switches, etc) doesn't really work.  Lastly, gay blue LEDs are not so easy to control output, so often you'll find MID/Climate etc unreadable in the day, and too bright at night.

Then you have to start desoldering cliamte panels to fit blue instead of amber for the selected function etc.

i must agree, while py old passat had blue illumination i have seen an omega with blue led and it looked pants, the vw display is designed to accomodate the blueness, but the mig isnt, i like the migs display as its is.tastfull and classy :y :y :y

Easy job, bulb is a couple of quid from dealer, though I'd take the blown one in to ensure they give you the right one (only 10mins to get dash off)

i have a blown bulb behind the speedo, is there a how to get the dash of page ;D
and is that a 10 min job for any one or some one who has done it b4 ;D ;D ;D ;D
