The V6 estate started running rough last week.......DIS pack faulty (on 4 cylinders).
Fitted new dis pack and its now running on 5 cylinders
Anyway, did a compression test to find it low on number 3 cylinder so off with the inlet and cam covers.
Now the heads are VERY clean, as if they have been re-built at some point possibly following cam belt failure?
Well, which ever idiot cleaned and re-built them has done a shit job........they clearly didn't replace the valve stems as one has cracked and the inlet valve is stuck open. Its must have been 'professionally' done as the heads have been chemically cleaned.
What a Muppet, so its heads off time an fit a spare pair.
Moral.....never, despite what any body else tells you, replace only the valves following cam belt failure.....it wont work and is dam right stupid.....
