After a bit of time, the Hearse, known also as the ROMega, named about the Romanian gipsyes that used to tow their caravans with the Omegas in the past times, is ready and creating panic around my town.

If anybody's heading south europe i may have a complete interior for a facelift elite, perfect front and rear seats, mediocre doorcards, central tunnel, etc.

Any idea about how much could a stripped out komby may wheigh?

On the list, things to do:

45% LSD, ordered
coilovers, ordered and arrived
reprofiled kent cam, ordered
Porsche 944 seats, picked up, bein re-leathered
some brakes
some exhaust
hydro e-brake
widened 16" Alfa 159 steelies, 8,5x16 et20 front, 10,5x16 et15 rear
15 steelies as spares for drifting, as many as i can find
thin plastic doorcards, leathered up
some carpet, thin and light

and THEN i'll take a bit care of the outside, because actually it REALLY looks bad.
:D

Well honestly cats and central boxes hang pretty low even from stock.

But i don't mind hearing some rubbing from under the car sometimes, as long as nothing breaks.

omega for the shopping, golf for the fun stuff.  :D

Well i'd say the opposite in my case.

As i assume the 2 sensors are sending a signal to the ECU, isn't it possible to fit dummy sensors sending always the right signal for a warm engine?

Not really. The ECU goes through a test cycle of swinging the mixture over a range of values once the correct engine conditions are met. It monitors pre- and post cat lambda sensors during this process to determine the behaviour of the cat. I think it would be difficult to spoof this behaviour, although some say a delay between the two sensors is all that is required and that shrouding the post cat sensor achieves this. I did set out to try this but the lambda sensor didn't fit the shrouds I bought.  ::)

I'll try using a lambda emulator they use on LPG equipped cars, keep you informed.

The airbag ecu needs to see a 3 ohm (iirc) load

Gold.

I assume this is for seats, same load for the steering wheel?

Well, i WILL have this problem as i'll remove the cats... i'm working on a toy car.
 ;)

I resume that topic, while i'll have the same issues soon.

I bet all of us here are car-keen pesons and while the car is cold all of us go nice and slow under 2500rpms, so this should'nt make any engine problem.

Well, if you link it to the engine check light, it will go on when you turn the key then off when you start the car, i can't see how it would make the car not pass the Mot.
 ::)

Cos the lights dont go off at the same time, making things like this easy to spot.

So, your happy to disable the entire airbag system, then hide the fact?
Rather than illegaly butcher your speedo and invalidate your insurance, why not just fit dummy airbags (resistors) where the seats should be to keep everything else happy.

How / where to find those resistors?

Could save me TONS of work.

Fiend, well, DON'T buy cars from Modena, or at least the used ones from dealers, all of them have kinda double of the Kms they have on the tacho.

Aaand... if you'd read well be-fò to shot stoopid sentencies you'd read this car is my toy, not my daily driver, so who cares if i'll have to find a "slimey" way to pass the MOT, insurance would not be invalidated in any case, we have "renounce to driver's liability" here, you pay kinda 80 euros more every year, if yer tires are worn / wrong measure / slick tires and you crash in another car insurance doesn't care about it and pays the same, same story for coilovers, exhaust and stupid airbags, also because here in Banana Republic ANY modify you do to your car is ILLEGAL, there's no way to make it legal, so who gives a shit, just hide it as good as you can and enjoy.
I say stupid airbags just cos's i gonna fit 4 point seatbelts and bucket seats, son an airbag is gonna worth nothin on that car.
 ;)
