Lazy Auto Box

Q My lad has a Saab 2.3 Auto and he is have trouble pulling away when cold, (will reverse ok). After a short warmup gear change ok.  Advice please :-/ :-/

Try changing the gearbox oil, sounds as if it's fine when the oil is hot and a bit thinner.
