need to swap a rear door tomorrow and dont have a pin extractor, any tips as to how to bodge a tool? are the pins reusable?

Omega General Help / Fitting F/lift door strips?

Got a set and spent the day painting them Z147.
Just ripped the old pre facelift ones off( what a rathertg mess they have left behind) and all the clips are in different bloody places! Any ideas people?
I know I need to drill holes at either end but how are they fixed on Facelifts and what clips/adhesive tape do I need.

By the sound of it mine is about to fall off and been looking for replacement, preferably something sporty, is there any chance of a v6 vectra backbox fitting? seen a few Irmscher ones about second hand.

Hi All,
Just got back from Welsh holiday and shall we say some 'spirited' driving on some amazing A roads, but noticed a whining noise sounding a little like a supergharger( I wish I had one!) that increased in pitch with the speed. Seemed to come from the front end but these things are difficult to place.
Otherwise the car was spot on.
Tell me it aint my diff :-/

Hi, Stupid question but does the plenum need to come off to clean out the breather?
Do I need to take the breather body off or can that be left in situ and just clean out the pipes.
I have seen the How to but trying to cop out a bit.
Would rather not disturb it if I dont really have to!

Im on a day off tomorrow and hope to try and sort out the cracks to my front bumper, can't find my Haynes book of lies to show where fixing points are. Anyone able to save me an hour of faffing,swearing and getting wet with a pointer or two.

Hi ,
Just tracked down a facelift in the same colour( Z147 ) as mine in a scrappy as I need a new drivers door, I hope to get all the door strips too but was wondering if the bumpers may fit with a bit of fiddling
I think the rear will as long as I get the polystyrene and any brackets but not sure about the front?

Hi chaps,
Fault code 19 and dodgy starting so new crank sensor required!
£90 quid from stealers FFS so may go pattern, stealers werent sure if this is the right one and web search shows a bit of confusion over types/shapes.
Any feedback on pattern ones welcome but definitive part number would be helpful. mini facelift made in 99 but registered in 2000.

Omega General Help / Starts 2nd time every time?

Hi Migfans!
Having some starting difficulties on both petrol and LPG, Elite will not start at all on the first go but might splutter a wee bit, second go she starts right as rain.
I did clean out the ICV a few weeks ago but cant see that causing the prob.Otherwise she is running sweet, I would rather sort it now than be stuck with the kids somewhere. Any suggestions on which sensors to check etc or possible DIS going?
