EGR deletion on x30xe
« on: 07 February 2020, 20:35:44 »

Hi gents,

I'm removing the EGR, making a blankoff plate on the intake and screwing in a blankoff plug on the exhaust manifold.

1. Do I need to retain the EGR valve? Do I just cable-tie it somewhere in the engine bay plugged in, or is there a more elegant solution?
2. Does anyone know offhand the thread of the hole in the exhaust manifold?

Number 1, that's about the limit of your option.

I'm going to strip it though, at least get rid of the lumpy piece of cast iron.

Put a blanking plate in, but egr valve has to stay, because of codes if removed.
