I've been advised on MoT that the subframe bushes are worn, as is the "n/s steering pivot point", which I think he said would be the steering idler. (I was too busy arguing with the young lady I was with, I know, priorities).

 If I save the pennies will WIM fit the bushes and arm, then set the chassis up for me?

Good point. I'm capable of doing it, I'm just lazy a busy man. Hence I've spent the last half hour looking at fire engines on Ebay...

They will do & have done so for me in the past ...... new shocks & springs all round.

The time charged, in my case anyway, was only for the "extra time" for the car up on the ramp. That was almost 4 years ago now so can't recall what the actual cost was. They then did the alignment afterwards

Their hourly cost is actually not bad, no worse than any other independent garage
