General Discussion Area / Ebay, it's never easy
« on: 05 March 2014, 19:07:55 »
I seem to attract the odd ones every time, this one is a guy from Kuala Lumpa wanting a BMW E21 dashboard posting to him  ::) He's been harassing me for weeks and wants a price to send it him there.....you can imagine the postage cost which may end up with him stitching me up through a paypal complaint. Would you bother?

Omega General Help / G/box sump sealant
« on: 04 March 2014, 12:04:39 »
I need to change a 2-3 solenoid and am forced to go down the cheapskate route of either reusing the existing gasket or just using silicone to seal it. I have used Holts instant gasket before without issue but have a tube of the super duper grey rocker cover gasket silicone in my tool box and wondered if it is up to the job?

General Discussion Area / I want my own scrapyard
« on: 19 February 2014, 19:07:39 »
Been having a really rough ride in work and at the same time been breaking a few cars at home, made some decent cash just selling bits then getting the shells picked up so a bit of a dream would be my own yard ,being my own boss etc. Well smack my arse with a kipper there is a 6000sq ft, fully licensed yard with offices and storage come up for rent near me for £200 a week.  I can't afford the start up sadly but I would have thought it would be more expensive than that to rent.

Anyone fancy going halves  ;) ;D

General Discussion Area / Deactivated ordnance legality?
« on: 28 January 2014, 18:04:54 »
Can I legally posses an empty pineapple style hand grenade?? not very clear on the web?  Good reason for asking as I want to take it into my daughters school ( obviously asking them if it's ok first )  for her as part of her WW2 project. Pretty sure I am fine owning it but transporting it might be a different issue ;D

Probably one of OOf's stranger questions... ;D
