Temp dysplay say F

Hi, some time ago the temperature sensor started to show badly until it stayed at F. I changed the sensor but it's still the same, could it be the wiring? Any area prone to breakage? What you can see with the hood open is fine.

Cable runs across the bumper and is bundled with fog light loom, the wires do become brittle with age
