Interesting pair of cars; both Vectra 1.8 petrol manual estates, Design spec, grey (Panacotta), new MOTs. The 2007 Bourton car, 13 miles from me, 116K miles, asking price £995, new cam belt, still in daily use, owner is buying a van, so car may have been used in his trade.
  .
The 2008 Chichester car, 134K miles, £850 asking price,120 miles away, one lady owner from new, serviced annually by vendor, who changed the clutch in January of this year. This car has an immaculate MOT history, only 2 failures, both for failed number plate bulbs, rectified by tester, then passed. This car suffered a scraped rear door, probably driving error entering driveway by 85 year old owner. Car is not in daily use and not insured.

Based on those descriptions, I wouldn't even consider the second one.

trades people tend to look after their car maintenance wise ,because no car = no pay £££
it's near to you, being used , go look at it  :y

second car looks decidedly suspect , people have walked away (as per the listing )
one to avoid  ;)

Maybe I did. This morning it no longer appears for sale, so I presume someone has bought it. I bought all my Omegas blind in auction on e-bay, so I should no be surprised. I hope to see the Bourton Vectra on Sunday.

Other outlets, beyond ebay, available.

I still think ebay is a place to get shot of dogs.

You rarely if ever hear of a Vectra being described as interesting...........unlike the very interesting Signum. :)

I hardly had time to, it was gone in 24 hours. Strange that the owner spent £1250 on a new clutch in January, only to offer it for sale for £850 in March, and careless to mislay the parcel shelf, though if it was like the later Omega parcel shelves it may have got broken. The immaculate MOT history seemed suspicious, but then I realised that I own a similar car, FV10WFO, an Astra I bought for £850 18 months ago; that again was one owner, original dealer serviced and MOT tested from new, high mileage (150K), and unmarked. I suppose the first owner put it in annually for servicing and MOT testing so the garage did all necessary work and then MOTed it. On purchase all I did was check it out, change oil and filters, and hand it over to son Jonny the following day. Since then it has done another 30k trouble free miles, apart from one occasion when a loose coolant cap caused coolant loss and an AA rescue.

The load cover is easily removed and forgotten about in the corner of a shed/garage/storage unit, and from the description and other items, I suspect that the car has spent time ferrying antiques to/from auctions, and the cover would only be in the way ;)

Priced to sell is the technical term.

Yes you did, wonder how I missed that. Sold for £600 it said. Relisted at £850 after timewaster either failed to turn up or rejected it on sight. Looked quite attractive to me, DG said my description talked it down. Nick W ws unimpressed and Dave the builder advised against it.
