Omega General Help / Re: wet front passenger floor
« on: 02 November 2017, 22:57:22 »
This is placed down under the pollen filter then? So how does water get in, is it through vents? Have had a lot of rain recently. I've also just recently sealed scuttle under wipers as it was dripping into engine bay.

General Discussion Area / police should go back on beat
« on: 01 November 2017, 13:24:23 »
Had an interesting convo with a cop who was trying to defend policing by car, saying it meant they could get to an incident quicker, however that is a reactionary procedure where they only arrive after the incident. If cops were on the beat they can still have a percentage in cars for back up, where regular foot patrols provide a visible presence around back streets and alleys where cop cars don't go and would likely miss the beginnings of an incident, unless it was right in front of them. In my time i've seen many incidents develop, people fighting, breaking into cars on a busy street and police just drove by.

It worked before so why not again, we have more plod now than ever before, yet crime is rising again. Any thoughts?

General Discussion Area / Re: hard drive data recovery

What actually fell....?

A hard drive or a PC/Laptop...

A hard drive is part of a PC/Laptop...

It sounds to me like there is a problem in the BIOS and may just need a reset....

You can buy a SATA to USB cable, but you need to make sure the USB port is capable of producing enough power to supply the HDD...

The whole laptop hit the deck

What has happened to the drive? What is the fault?

It dropped from a unit and then when trying to boot up it started beeping, splash screen lenovo comes up then get the black screen with message check cable connection pxe mof exiting intel, then boot option comes up with hard drive and pci lan atheros boot agent.

If i boot from hard drive: tsstcorp cddvdw sn-208ab it just loops in same pattern. If i go to app menu then set up it says next to hard disk: not installed. Also under set up then security it says no hdd detected

I took bottom cover off and only vosible damage i see is the little round battery holder seems to be hanging out.

Tried takind hard disk out and reseating, no difference.

Obviously thinking disc isperhaps damaged or imternal damage somewhere.

Thanks

Andrew

Depends what it's off, omega ones are removable. :y

Had a look at mine and they appear pretty much glued together, the lens. Are you saying lens can be removed,on omega?

Not sure if you can take those out, i think the light is generally one piece and you need replacement light.

Its telling you your connected but with limited connectivity, in other words you need to go through another action to complete.

Has the router or settings been changed, your connection has probably been remembered from last time it was connected, try clearing cache and cookies or try a different browser, and or delete your WiFi connection to this connection / router and start again a fresh.

Nothing had changed on connection as far as i was aware. Deleted original connection, then reconnected, this time it asked for passkey and it worked.

There is also a 5g connection that is active but doesn't show up in list of available connections. I'm using 2 g one that will do.

Thanks.

Hey all

Having some odd problems tonight with my laptop, hoping some bods can offer advice/test.....usually when I got to my folks house I can connect up to their wifi automatically but tonight the connection, while saying it is connected has yellow exclamation mark on taskbar network icon.Things I've checked so far are:

Checked ethernet connection - fine
Checked my mobile connects - fine
Checked wireless adapter for updates - fine
Done network diagnostics - gave issue in Subject line about wireless adapter
Tried rebooting laptop and hub

Have got connection set to auto connect but it doesn't, I have to open in taskbar and click connect, then it says can't connect, then if I trouble shoot it goes through a resetting network adapter then asks to check if it is fixed, which it isn't, and says windows can't solve the problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Andrew

Spotted gold one in whithorn town centre in dumfries and galloway. Didn't catch model but looked like elite alloys on it.

I don't like Violence, but since there is direct correlation at least 9850 sick and disabled have died since (and as a direct result of) the Bastard Tories brought in changes to sickness benefits, and the way that they are assessed as fit for work or placed in a work group.
I often rather wish scum like May and Johnson were rounded up and shot, but that just isn't what we British do. No we attend a party conference, getting through security without a problem because we don't have a gun in our bag, and politely hand a fake P45 to the prime minister, who hasn't a oppsing clue what it's like to live in the real world.

I think handing her a bag of burning dog turd would have been more appropriate.
There's one in every village ::)

Comrades Blair and especially Brown are the ones that bankrupted UK Plc... Brown did such a royally appalling job that we are still paying for it.

So I ask you... Whi is ACTUALLY responsible for the current financial state of affairs?

Politicians should be held responsible for their actions, I mean it's the most responsible job in the country - apparently - it seems to say sorry is enough when you bankrupt a country although Brown trousers never even admitted it.

At work, this is more about saving company cash than the environment... :-X

Could save a bunch by getting rid of the bloated management structure.
Good luck with that ;D

live in hope, as always! More chance of VX bringing back the Omega!
