Mini face lift is the term generally used for the last of the PRE face lift cars, those that have solid head restraints, radio controls on the steering wheel and other things that I can't now remember. ::)  :y  :y  :y

It also requires

The two throttle heater coolant pipes
Idle control valve air pipe
Multiram switch unit to throttle body air ducts.

Other than that its a straight swap

is it not worth going for the later 3.0 engine anyway? Rather than retro fitting a newer plenum on a older 3.0?

While we're discussing the longer plenum set up... can anyone tell me why they changed them from the shorter ones and the benefits?? I've looked at swapping mine on the 2.5 for longer ones as i feel they look better than the short ones. Might not be an issue to some but i like to have a good looking engine bay along with the rest of the car. Finishes the car off when your at a show, cant have mint body and interior and a mess under the bonnet lol.

3.0 long plenium isnt the most expensive of things.
can get you a cheap one for incase i dont want it?
i'v got a 2.5 but it's getting the 3.0 inlets and stuff
btw as far as i know the multirams are the same but you'll need the shorter pipes which i might have (have to check)

3.0's are better with extented plenum, 2.5's don't need it, extended bit allows for  better airflow iic  :-/

The longer plenums were fitted at mini facelift, they where one of a number of improvements to the 3.0 engine, longer plenums give better low down torque, also at the same time the ignition timing and oil circuits where modified, also the engine block was made from composite graphite iron which reduced the noise of the engine, last but not least the auto box had a modified torque converter for better acceleration.
