I suggest you use a car that wasn't built in France if you want to arrive. :)

You won't sell many onions around these parts though. ;)

In a previous life, I had a Renault 4, which never needed anything other than routinr services, except for one set of windscreen wiper bushes.
I used to do in excess of 30k miles per year, and because the rear was higher than the front it was almost always going downhill - hence the excellent fuel economy! Front wheel drive and a light body meant that the rear wheels only had to keep the rear end (of the CAR!) off the ground; hence the rear tyres lasted for 80k miles.
Enjoy your frogmobile, Albs - they CAN last.

Ron.

By the time he has cycled to the nearest froggie car dealer he'll be knackered, and in need of a fresh croissant dipped in garlic.

Loves all things French does Albs. :)

I don't know, what about the Entente Cordiale?  ???

I don't think we've had a decent scrap with the French since 1815, but I'm sure that Lizzie will be along shortly to confirm or deny.  :y

They suffer from the dreaded tinworm in the UK; that's what killed mine in the end - plus the fact that a milk float backed into it when I was parked!  :'(

If Albs can claim his car for the Welsh based on the number plate can owners of the R4 claim theirs are Irish as some of the last ones available over here were assembled in Ireland?

You can.t really knock 700 quid for a 2009 car. I drove my granddaughters home from Bedford and found it a fun drive. The fact that it wasn,t mine probably helped. :D
