took the omega off the road on the 12th of december sent the tax back. didnt expect a refund as it was due to expire at the end of december anyway and declared sorn at the same time.
so today thought il just make a call and chase them up and guess what. sorry sir havnt received any tax or sorn declaration. even though i sent it recorded signed for.
then i said well you better not send me a fine for not declaring it. she said oh we shouldnt if you sorn it online today, >:( >:(

I heard the dvla are in a right pickle with backlog of post and staff shortages ,ring up who delivered it for you and you should get a name and time it was signed for  :y

Yes, it is probably wiser to do everything on line now as there are apparently a lot of dissatisfied staff who know their jobs are on the line with pending cuts / reforms with DVLA offices nationwide. ;)
