Omega General Help / EML on my 2.0 16v :-(

Driving on the dual carriage way today and car cut out then come on again , but with the engine management light on and auto gearbox warning light !

Got home and tried to start it .. It turned over for a while then started but reved like a bag of s**t !

gave it an hour started fine , drive round the block and the same thing happend again :-(

Any ideas ??

I need to replace my rocker covers gaskets and clean my breathers, but I I dont own a spanner !!!

Is there anybody who could help me , point me in the right direction and do some spannering for me ...

Of course beer tokens mwill change hands !!

Omega General Help / Police Mirrors ??

Hi

Ive seen photos of a police omegas and on top of the wing mirror there was a small blind spot mirrors.

Are these specificly for the omega , can you buy them of the shelf !

Im kinda after a policey looking mig .. get my drift !!

Does anybody no if all tow bars are the same .. I mean would a tow bar from an S reg saloon fit my 2000 facelift saloon as im after one but cant find a second hand facelift towbar

Omega General Help / My Omega 2.0 16v Saloon V Omega 2.6 V6 estate

I bought my omega in haste and have soon begun to realize its a tad small .... I have 3 kids who are 12,10 and 6 so I ve always had estate cars ,

my questions are

1) My omega 2.0 16v GLS automatic is worth how much ?? Its an x reg 2000 with 91000 miles on the clock mod'd till april tax till sept with a good history

2) The car im looking at is a Y reg 2.6 v6 CD with 123000 miles on the clock what is that worth !

My omega does 30 ish to the gallon on average !
How much worse will a 2.6 v6 be on fuel !

Is there anything i should look at problem wise with the 2.6 ??

Omega General Help / OIL LEEK .... 2.0 16v

I have an oil leek from somewhere , The only place I see the oil is on my drive ! or when I lift the bonnet I can see oil on the allen key bolts that hold rocket cover down and oil on the heat shield on the exhaust.. does that make sense Im no mechanic !

This mornig as I did the school run I noticed a burning smell from under bonnet and because I was trying to demist window I had fumes coming in the car too

PLEASE HELP BEFORE MY WIFE KILLS ME !! LOL

Omega General Help / OMEGA KEY

Hi

I need another key for my omega , the fob part of mine looks like it may have been eaten by the previous owners dog.

I can lock it if i grow my finger nail about an inch long

whats the best way to go about another key . Mine omega is a face lift so it has lock unlock and the boot button on the fob

If i buy a secound hand key could i just use the fob and swap the blade over

vx quoted me £140 quid or something soft for a complete key

Hi All

I am a new Omega owner.... Always had vectra before but always has a soft spot for a bog old saloon !!

I bought this saturday

Its a 2000 x reg 2.0i 16 valve

87000 mile and a FULL vauxhall service history !!

and a bargain too at £800 !!!

Hope to be part of the forum more as time ticks by !

Just one question .... ( my first of many I guess ) are they vauxhall wheels on the car
