Exterior Temperature reading colder than actual

I have read other topics on the external temperature sensor reading hotter than the actual temperature outside.
But...
I have the opposite, that my cars external temperature sensor is reading about 6oC less.
I replaced the sensor under the front bumper, but no change.
Any ideas please???
