Then there's the auto box issues, as the op touched, on. The ar25 can barely cope with oe mapping. Never mind the re map to make it useable. Ar35 a must.

How old/many miles?

They are Valeo. Cost £2.74 for the pair from ECP during a sale about 12 months/18,000 miles ago. 

I had the flat bladeses. Or do you mean the conventional oneses?

I put asda oil in mine. 
They don't do filters though. 

I hope that's Genuine Asda oil?

No Genuine Lidl is far superior! 

Does Gixer recommend the Lidl as opposed to the Asda then? Just the oil, not the filter, I never bother with that messy thing.

I think he's still testing.  He disapproves of recommendation on price alone you know.

There's advice on getting trade club access in FAQ. While it is £25 a year, it does support another good car club and allows members here access to trade prices. With oil you'll get most of your fee back in the first buy. A sound investment. 

As most sensible members know, gm oil keeps the Mayo effect on the filler neck and breathers to a minimum.  So gives your breathers a better chance of keeping clear. And hence has a better chance of keeping seals intact, including cam seals which protect your ignition system.

Most members, including the op, know this already. 

Avoid Castrol as its especially bad for Mayo. And feeding trolls.

I removed the strut from the hub when I did mine, but carefully marked the positions with a scribe and then reassembled to my marks. 

Why? Way too much room for errorses!
