Title: My dead Mv6 Irmscher estate.

She started out like this.

Ooh that's a shame.


Are there similar areas or is that the worst? Might it be worth welding in some new sections? :-\

not the end of the world...if it was my car id have it all replaced...the car is way too good to scrap/sell..... :y

The other side is the same just not as bad I'm sure there is more but I stopped looking lol.  I'm not repairing it due to the cost as the outer sills look like they need doing as well the rear arches are not great but I already bought the replacement panels for those which is something i forgot to stick in the for sale section lol. So the cost's arr building up and up and to be honest i just can't justify it to myself any more. The very most important thing is my little boys get driven around in this and if its not safe then its a no no.

Mine went in the same place but fortunately I own a welding machine and have bodged it enough to get through its MoT...

As Hawkw says, not the end of the world, and actually a relatively easy fix TBH if you can weld....

I don't have a welder and I have never welded before mate so its going to cost me either way and like I said arches and sills and other stuff it soon mounts up and I'm not bodging something me little ones have to go in. I'm more than happy to sell it to you mate. :y

My T reg Estate went the same, I stripped the rear seats and floor trim out first, and a local welder did superb repairs onall four corners, all for about £60. Good for another ten years.  :y

Right guys and girls had a few peeps asking for the hole car now i happy to sell the hole thing in fact would prefer to also would be nice to see it kept on the road. As for the how much i would let it go for i have no idea im all ears but the full back end is off at the mo as i was swapping the diff and subframe for one that i had cleaned up and painted as i was never going to sell it lol but things change lol. Please check in the parts for sale section for other pics as i have changed the tailgate but do still have the original  one but the irmscher panel is not on. If anyone is after it i will obviously put it back together.
