Cut front and back lawns, neither very large. Took SWMBO for a walk in the wheelchair, she can walk about 100yrd then needs to get in so she uses it as a rollator. We live near the Bury east junction of the A14 and there are some nice accessible paths and wooded areas at the top of our estate. Bloody knackered when we got home. :D Think she needs a mobility scooter. ;D

Im on the border of Suffolk but always like to visit Bury St. Edmunds much more than any of the Essex towns, which are nearer.
Son works right in the centre now so its an excuse to visit more often. Had a wander around the old Abbey gardens a couple of months ago. Its bigger in there than I imagined it would be.

Antisocial distancing is my forte, so pretty much the status quo here ;D

This.

Pulled a wealth of sh!tty 1980's bedroom furniture out of the back bedroom, revealing a nice big damp patch and a hole in the ceiling.  ::)

Given its location, I'm 99.9% sure it's the lead flashing and/or pointing on the chimney stack. Not sure if I'll pay out to fix it, or go diy, access is easy and I think I've got some lead in the shed. Guess it depends on how I get on with all the other jobs on the list first 😂

As I mostly work from home, weekdays are no different to normal - work, then go for a walk, then eat tea and watch shite on the telly.  Every night is like treat night, as she's also working at home, and has taken over the dining room table with her laptop, monitors keyboards etc, so tea on a tray in the lounge every night :)

Weekends are more of a drag, as have to stay in.  Weekend before last, I built a Tamiya Hotshot, last weekend I wrecked the grass with it.  This weekend I'm building a new quadcopter out of a load of bits I found whilst tidying, that'll keep the printer busy :).  I have done a little bit of quad flying, from the bedroom window, but the video transmission system means I have a fairly narrow corridor of about 90 degrees where I can still get video.  And due to the obstacles surrounding my garden, its quite a difficult landing.

I really should finish my Cessna off... Just got to hook up the flaps and ailerons, stick the wings on and charge it up.

It will move under its own power, but weather it will fly or not is anyone's guess...  :-\ technically, if it won't leave the ground, it won't need registering...  ::)

Because of my (lack of) flying skills, all my planes and racing wings are foam.  My last balsa thing I flew lost an argument with a rugby post on its maiden ;D.  But cant fly any of them currently, as would need to find a field, and its hardly an essential reason to leave the house.

As the owner, only you need to get an operator-id (£9 pa) from the CAA, and you and anyone else who attempts to fly it needs a flyer-id (free, but needs a test to prove you can spell your name).  You're operator ID covers all relevant craft you may own.

(I'm assuming its under 20kg?)

Normally I'd agree STEMO, but in this case it would involve a rule-breaking 85mile round trip to the parents to retrieve the family scaffolding tower. If stopped I might be able to make a case for essential travel, but it's not really in the spirit of the thing.

In view of that, a bucket may have to suffice until the madness ends. In any case, it's brought a piece of ceiling down and trashed the plaster on the wall, so I figure the majority of the damage is done.

I had a few conversations with 'roofers' over the years that have gone something like this...

Me: I think it's leaking around the chimney.
Roofer: Well if it is, we'll have to take the chimney down.
Me: Surely it's quicker and easier to fix the flashing.
Roofer: Yes we'll take the chimney down.
Me: There's nothing wrong with the chimney, the chimney doesn't leak.
Roofer: No, but we'll take the chimney down.
Me: It's the neighbours chimney.
Roofer: He'll have to take the chimney down then.
Me: His ROOF isn't leaking, it's my ROOF that's leaking.
Roofer: Well anyway the chimney will have to come down.
Me: Sigh....
