Sorry Dan, The milage is 145K.
It needs quite alot of cosmetic work and trim.
Also the Clutch slave has dropped it's guts so I need to get that done first.
I don't have a garage so I'll be doing it on my drive. Not going to be fun!

I also have some custom touches to put in there too!

First on the list is get her back on the road, then I'll get the trim sorted and the bodywork. I would like a full re-spray but we shall see how the year pans out.....

It is yes, The police spec' rear springs broke and when I called Vauxhall and they told me how huch they cost, I almost fell off my chair!
They are now G-Max -35 I think???? The best part is when I called my insurance to tell them it's lowered, they gave me a refund! It rides so nice too! Firm bust not harsh!  :y

Thank you, I agree, just having bigger wheels isn't enough, the car needs to sit low to make the most of it.
IMO, the way mine sits is perfect, she looks great at that height, corners almost flat, not too harsh a ride and clears all the speed humps and round here, there are plenty of those! Lol....

Not the ex plod though - they have the GLS style front bumper and interior "Special"

The prodrive boot spoilers come up more frequently than the irmy ones but you will struggle to find a white one  same goes for a front bumper so next time someone is braking an MV6 get what you can and get it sprayed up  :y

Ok, very much time for an up-date....
I have been collecting a heap of parts.... Here's the list....
Clutch kit plus slave cylinder and feed pipe,
Both cats and full exhaust,
Centre arm rest, and h/b trim + new leather gators for the gear stick and h/break,
Air duct in centre console,
Hand brake cable,
Full disc and pad set,
Scuttle panel,
Boot lid trim,
Air, oil, fuel and cabin filters + coolant and oil,
Set of plugs,
One plug lead (No4)
plus the correct wheels (already on the car) 2 tyres needed..

There is still a long list of things that I want to get sorted but I'm getting it ready for the end of this month and MOT time!

Plugs
Anti freeze
Ball joints
Drop links
Bodywork will be last to do and sourcing some nice alloys, not looked into alloys but hoping the newer MV6 alloys will fit similar to what you have on yours  ;)

Add a pair of O2 sensors to the list!
While swapping over the cats, I was having a hard time getting the old O2's out, took the old pipes too work and got them out.... I have no idea how they were in there so tight.... They had NO THREAD!!!!!!! I'm just so glad that our good friend at OmegaSparePartsLtd has come to the rescue and they are on their way! :-)
Title: Re: Re: My Ex-Police MV6

Up-date No2! 1st job this morning, change plugs.... I started on the more difficult side at the back.... So after I got all the gubbins out of the way, I went at No6 plug like a mad dentist, the plug well had a mix of oil and water in the bottom. Then I changed the lead for that cylinder....
I continued round to 4, then 2, then 1,3 and 5. Out of those I had oil in most but 6 was full to the top with water. Also when I pulled No6 lead, the post on the DIS pack also had water in it, now I'm looking at doing the cam cover gaskets :-/
I have no idea how this engine ran????
So, I carried on, re-fitting the wipers, changed the pollen and air filters, fitted the boot lid trim, refitted drivers door trim and fitted the air duct in the centre console and put the console itself back together.
I'm hoping to get the O2 sensors tomorrow so I can fit those and run her up....

Yep the car was down on 2 cylinders , its the first thing i was advised to check all be it a pita to get to  ::) split exactly like yours so threw it in the bin . Replaced with a new one and sorted the miss-fire , ill have to keep checking for leaks as i dont seem to have cured it fully from the scuttle but the foam bit was dry  :y

Good job!  :y that give me hope for when my new part comes!  :y

I'm thinking of removing the foam and spraying the scuttle to see where water is getting in???
Not sure of a sure fire fix yet but it should help if I know exactly what's going on????

Thanks guys, she's getting there.... The idea was to get one that deserved to be fixed up.
I've put some of the trim back in where the boys in blue took it out.
Put the MV6 wheels on and droped it a little.
The spolier's going to be on soon and I have a front spoiler to paint too.

The long term plan will include a full respay and see what I can do with the inside too....

Ok, over the last few nights, I painted the boot spoiler and even though I used the proper paint from VX, it's practically yellow next to the paint on the car!!!!????
I didn't think White paint discoloured??? I know it goes powdery.....

Well...
I finally got to put paint on the front and rear spoilers and I learnt the White is not "White"!!! I got some with the correct code and when I put it on the car, it looked yellow!!! FFS!!!
Then I got some mixed and it's spot on!!!! :-)

Next will be side skirts but for now, I'm happy!

That's ok GK, the way we (individually) want our cars to look will always be a subjective thing...
I must admit, I wasn't sure until it was painted and on the car, now it is, I am very happy with it. :-)
Thank you for the comment though :y

Yes, this thread was re-started by Dan because I had problems but the cream has cleared that up! :-) Lol....

No, I don't know where he has gone either...

DazzerM,

Yes, she has 153k on her and I think the engine might get changed sooner or later at this rate! Been on it all afternoon and I still don't have the pass' manifold off... I'll leave that for the other thread...

I have had Omegas with different sets of alloys, split rims staggered fitments, and had alloys worth 3 times what the car is You name it I have done it  :D

And my own opinion is nothing can beat the early FL MV6 alloys, they suit the lines of the car perfectly IMHO  :y
