Or just stop being completely ghey and use an iPhone/Samsung/Nokia and have a far better SatNav (including accelerometers, GPS, yadda yadda) full Postode Input, unlimited updates including POI's, completely customizable and another belter......... you can speak to people on it!  :D :D :D
Because I like my iPhone, and would miss it if it was chucked out of the window due to some crappy application trying to do more than the hardware can achieve ;)

50k miles per annum, and it hasn't bounced down the tarmac yet!  :P

EDIT:  Unless you are referring to actually talking to people..... then it struggles!  ;)

Boiled - let it go cold! - Boiled it just to remove any impurities in the water that would stain.

No potions as I didn't know the effect on the plastic lense.

Hmmm interesting might try this... Just a thought but what about deionized water?  :-\

Yeh that would be fine.

I like the thought of using the original unit, rather than having to use something else. Most places are easy enough to find but a nav will help when trying to find a certain road ect and I'm sure the omega nav can manage that much.

I would say the NCDC units are deadly accurate to within a few feet of an address and the external roof antenna greatly assists this, the only real problems are the lack of post code input and the last Navteq map update being 2011.

Just stripped the donor NCDC 2013 down to see how hard it is to get too, It's easy to get access to clean but does look a little fiddly to actually change the laser if that is the last resort.

It's not to bad, just helps to have one to practice on if you've never done one before.

CARiN fitted to MFL 3.0l Elites do not do postcodes (well, can do "5 digit" which essentially selects the town). The CARiN brand is still sold today, so later versions can
