I went for these LINK some time ago, They've been fine no issues to report  :y

(That's the price per bulb btw)

How much!?

I bought mine off EBay, and didn't spend that much on all nine! Before anyone asks, I don't have a link as this was probably 3years ago.

10 of them here for under a fiver...

I need to pop one out really, is it 38-39mm I need?  :)

I'm tempted to replace both interior rear ones and the boot one.

That does sound about the right length... Pop one out for measurement purposes as the rear interior lights are relatively slender compared to the number plate ones iirc. Again, the puddle light bulbs whilst being the correct length, might be too bulky for the reading lights...

The issue being that the rear lights are in quite a slim housing... C batteries are the same length as AA batteries but that doesn't make them interchangeable ;)

Incidentally, the saloon number plate bulb is a bayonet fitting :y

Cheers  :y :y :y

Not too fussed about the number plate light, handy if that is not too easily readable ::)

It's the boot light and rear reading lights I'd like to improve, it's just finding the time to do a bit of DIY and pop one of these out. Thinking as I type, I might pop one out on the 2.2 and take a looksie, as I have that here at work.

With you tunnie.  :) I'd very much like to upgrade the bootlight, too; as unfortunately the streetlight in the next street illuminates the boot at night better than my actual bootlight  ::) I've had thoughts of installing another one or two lights in the boot, too. But LEDs the way to go, for sure - brighter and less heat.

Rather like the idea/design of this, but it appears like the led panel itself is way too large to fit behind a standard omega bootlight lens - did you sit two next to each other/similar?
