Hi, I have a 2000 2.5 cdx with CCR2006 fitted. I have located the radio mute cable above glove box but it does not fit any connectors on my hands free kit. What is needed / what does it connect to? Does this connector power hands free kit? Many thanks in anticipation.

Autoleads do an adapter that works with old style nokia (can be modified to work with new style nokia as well), this does also power carkit, and also redirects phone audio through stereo. What is less clear is whether it connects mic (if fitted in courtesy light), or if you have to add mic as usual...

Hi again, I think this link explains all. The picture at bottom of page is the loom I have found behind glove box. I read it as suggesting I need the relay but it does not state where to install on Omega. Your views would be apreciated before I order. I have a Nokia Cark 134 hand free kit.
To remind you I have 2.5cdx yr2000 with built in mic.

Terry at Sio Communications has confirmed that if your Omega has the hidden loom behind glovebox you require the '06-102B' lead.
CCR2005 or better unit does not require a relay, all others require '06-100' relay.
Prices are a little less than other 'Autoleads' suppliers.
The whole kit eliminates the need to remove radio & try to squeeze the connectors behind.
I am told it will connect the mic in light & volume is controlled from steering wheel.
The '06-102B' has fitting for latest Nokia kit, a cheap adapter required for all others.
Will confirm when fitted.
Is this perhaps useful for your 'How to' section.

I use siocommunications.

I can confirm that steering wheel controls work with phone for volume only when connected via 16 pin adapter by glove box.

Take some piccies when you fit yours, do a little write up, and make a decent how2 out of it ;)

I can confirm the whole job takes 5 minutes. Simplicity itself. Only problem I had was that my built-in mic did not work & had to run the Nokia one up to head-lining by mirror.
Volume of incoming call is controlled by steering wheel radio buttons.
Radio returns as soon as call ended.
In my case even finding the loom was easy. Just released the three studs fixing lining behind glove box and reach up, there it was.
Total cost: £38. (£32 if you have recent Nokia kit)/me

At the moment I've got Nokia CARK91 modified to fit PoPort -phones, but it uses Nokia's own speaker and has no mute-function (don't really need the mute, I've also got a passive handset) and it would be nice to have display displaying the "Message", phone sound from "real" speakers and the mute...but i'm worried that can I damage the amp by doing what is told above?

The above method should work fine as the phone signal is fed into the CCR2006 and this then feeds the Bose amp.

Wow, I'm impressed with the rapid answers! Thanks! Mark's comment makes sense, I'll try that... As Finnish telecom stores do not have any wiring to sell (strange enough, but true...) would anyone happen to have the pinout of these wiring looms/sockets so I could solder the connections on my own?

Hi Guys

Just bought a Parrot kit and two leads from http://www.siocommunications.co.uk. Also rang them first and Terry was more than helpfull. Pleasure to do business with them.

I used the above lead and also a connector for the Parrot. Dead easy. Just plugged the above into the flying lead behind the glove box. Didnt need a relay as 2003 model.

The factory fitted mic didnt work, reason being as I found when I removed the courtesy light to fit the Parrot Mic, was that the previous animal who removed the old kit had cut it off, cable left in.  >:(

Having said all that, it was easy to fit the Parrot mic next to the rear view mirror, routing the cable up the pillar and across above the head lining. All the above I did after some great advice from this Forum. :y

Think there might be a slight diferance with the Bose :-/ But check with Terry. :y
