When was the picture taken?
Do you happen to know the reg?
I believe Zirk has at least one, and Ken has one, but no longer liveried...

I wonder if they are ever used by a family going to a supermarket under blues and two’s? ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;)

Not too sure but last year I think the person that owns it owns other ex police cars and shows them he is ex job himself

Red ones are always Royal Protection Group ARVs from what I've been told. Makes them easier to spot in an incident.

True. The Omegas were replaced with BMW 530s and then X5s.
It's unusual for pre/mid facelift Omegas to be Battenburged hence my question re reg.

I think the red omega 3.2 specials were City of London Police vehicles.
-
The red Omegas were attached to the Diplomatic Protection Group (DPG ) and they came about after various foreign embassies complained about the fact that they needed to actually see the cars attached to the group and to reassure the diplomats of their presence.... hence the colour red.
The car in the picture belongs to a serving SO19 instructor, and I'm in touch with him, but as he's not an OOF member, I won't name him. :-X hopefully this clears up the mystery of the red Omegas.
