You dilute it to use ,
once slabs dry it is fine for pets to walk on ,though probably not a good idea to EAT the paving slabs after treatment
or before treatment 

plenty of instructions on-line 

 Benzalkonium Chloride is the active ingredient in most disinfectants,  Algaecide ,Fungicide ,etc 

Bac50 is just super concentrate , it's not watered down and pine scent added ,like "over the counter " disinfectants,  Algaecide ,Fungicide

it's like wiping the slate clean ,kills all the algae ,germs ,mould spores
how long before they come back is down to environmental factors .

Like systemic herbicide /weedkiller ,It displays high degree of biodegradability,

like a new patio ,it should take  quite a while before algae returns

the link (other sellers/websites available ) is for 5 litres ,if you dilute 1 to 8 , that's 45 litres (read the data sheet depending on application)
(don't mix that much unless you have a big carpark or road to treat )

that £30 tub may last you 5 years or more
time is money ,patio washing may be a relaxing/enjoyable "pastime" to some 
as is sitting in a comfy chair, ON the patio, drinking beer to others

DtB - I was more thinking if it still has to be applied annually, not sure if thats much different from me cleaning the patio every Spring?

I bet i can spray a patio down with BAC50 with my pressure sprayer quicker than you could set up your pressure washer 

I'm not on commission from chemical supply companies 
if you "enjoy" washing patios ,just pretend you didn't read my post
