« on: 14 April 2014, 17:34:55 »

Are there any images showing the location of all the coolant hoses and pipes that live around the back of the V6? Ya know all the stuff that's likely to leak...

Now then that is a clean engine indeed.... Impressed.... I was interested as to what can leak behind there other than what has already been renewed or re sealed that the coolant would exit just beyond the the oil filter housing.... A lot more going on behind there than i expected..... :-\

Thats what i thought and many others  :'( But its all about having a feel for the pipes and tracing the coolant pipes feeling for leaks . Other than that take the plenum and inlets off and you will see any coolant leak , best to pressure test  :y

many recent coolants have dye in them.. if not you can add.. and if you can check with blacklight (in dark) you can spot leaks easily..

and one more . coolant reservoir cap can also leak but not easy to see , instead you can hear when engine is hot..

I know where the leak exits but not where it started that's the problem... The header tank cap isn't it though.

 ???

I was informed to replace with new bridge seals . Best to pressure test it for best idea without replacing willy nilly  :y
