Hopefully the UN resolution has made Gadaffi sit up and take notice that the international community won't sit on their hands and watch while he murders the people of Libya.... and in my view that goes for the other despots aound the world as well!

I'm glad that the UN has finally got round to assuming a position on this, as if we did nothing we would be witnessing genocide in Bengazi and the world has sat and watched too many genocides in recent history.... Cambodia, The Balkans, Rwanda and the DRC spring to mind  :'( :'( :'(

Thanks for the replies.

Think I'll try the annenuator, as the signal is max strengh....

I already have a booster, ahhh maybe I don't need the booster now? :-/ I'll disconnect that and see what happens!  ::)

We also have some ash trees that have grown really tall in next doors garden, I've mentioned that they might be affecting my signal and their blocking the light into my garden, but he reckons their not his.... >:(

Thanks again and I'll keep you posted!  :y :y :y

Hi All,

Since the big digital TV switchover a couple of years ago, my TV picture is nowhere near as good as it was on analogue. Recently it has become almost unwatchable, the picture breaks up and pixilates and now and then the sound goes with a 'pop'! :(  The setup is nothing fancy, just a Panasonic LCD with builtin freeview.

I've checked the signal meter through the setup menu and that indicates a maximum signal strength and maximum quality..... I'm abit lost now though what to try next and thought someone here may be able to help.. :)  Thanks for any advice :y

Lets not forget that before recent events, there were the earthquakes in Haiti, Chile and New Zealand, the floods and bush fires in Australia and floods and mudslides in Brazil...  :'(

Talking of bike tests or lack of them...  :o

I did mine back in the days when the bloke stood on the corner and told you to go round the block.......  ::)

So I did as instructed, but being abit nervous I forgot that I'd turned the petrol tap off ( Why!? :o), and half way round the block I spluttered to a halt... :( Barsteward!!!!! >:(

My Yamaha RXS100 didn't have electric start so I'm kicking it over like a donkey on acid till it eventually fires.... :y Then I'm off like a cat with something red hot up it's... :o till I get to the last corner, then I'm like Grandad on his scooter... :y

Average speed springs to mind!!   :y :y :y  and yes I passed!!! WooHoo!!! :y :y :y

HSBC have form for this sort of thing. The HSBC building was designed so that it could be dismantled and re-erected elsewhere, if Hong Kong went belly up after it was given back to China in 1997.

As an international company they are obliged to review their domicle from time to time to ensure that they are operating in the most advantageous environment. In my view its abit of sabre rattling, but if the witchhunt continous then they may well make good on their threat to leave....

However despite the higher taxes here, the UK remains a relatively safe and stable place to do business and ultimatly if there is another financial crisis they will get help fom the UK government, which they couldn't rely on from the Chinese or Singaporeans.... ::)

A sad story GooseMan and you have my deepest sympathies having been in a similar situation myself a few years ago.. :'(

There's a big hole in your life right now and whilst you will never forget your Stepfather, the hole will get smaller with time.....

Be strong my friend  ;)

It would be nice to get a freebe, but these shares should be held until such time that the government can make a GOOD profit on them to help the national finances.... Maybe it's just me.. :-/

Pah!!  >:( >:( >:(

There was also an article the other day, where a council was trying to evict a couple for non payment of rent to the tune of about £3500, and the judge refused to grant the eviction order because it would breach their right to a family life.................  :o
