He didn't say anything when he took the sump out said it was just dirty and old

7 I think he said,

If box is goosed I will break it I think! How much of a job is it to change the box?

He's a mechanic and has his own place, took sump off drained it and filled it back up while running I think

Omega General Help / omega 3.0 elite facelift autobox probs??
« on: 02 June 2010, 19:21:19 »
I've recently got a 3.0 facelift elite estate with autobox problems, changed the oil today with dextro3 and mate who changed it drove it and said it was fine after, I picked it up and still slipping and won't change till near 4k roughly, I hit the accelerator and no joy it just looses power and revs just drop to idle!

Any ideas?

Omega General Help / autobox prob?
« on: 25 May 2010, 17:46:21 »
I picked a omega elite up cheap on the weekend to use for work (facelift 3.0) with a autobox issue, seller didn't have it looked at ,

It drives fine and It is very slow to change up, I.e. Waits till about 5k, and when u stamp on the accelerator it just drops all revs, and stays in same gear,

Got it through all the gears eventually

Will this be down to the oil has never been changed? Or anything else it could be?
