Title: Volunteer wanted - OOF email & webspace
Post by: TheBoy on 03 September 2007, 15:18:29
Need a couple of volunteers to trial a planned oof email and webspace offer for a couple of weeks, before a possible launch.

Anyone willing to trial this for 2 or 3 weeks to iron out any process and technical issues, and post up experiences, please drop me a PM.

I will select the first couple of PMs that arrive in my inbox, purely on a first come basis

In laymans terms, it would be an email address (something@omegaowners.com) and a website area (http://something.omegaowners.com).

Sounds like a good idea :)

Just wondering, what system will you be using to manage the creation of the subdomains & email addresses??  Automated scripts or manually input the data yourself?

Currently not scriptable, so will be manual for now :(

Just setting up the first 3 who PM'd me.  If you do not receive a PM from me, it is because we have enough volunteers, who were selected 1st come, 1st served basis.

Thank you to all those who volunteered, whether you were selected or not :y

My web space is easier to maintain than either Onetel or BT. And I can use my own URL rather than frime it

Do you use webmail or a mail client via pop3/smtp?

Your own domain - www.martinimber.co.uk - was a special, not sure we'll offer that as a service....
