Truss' speech
« on: 05 October 2022, 13:13:34 »

I thought Liz did really well in her speech at conference, only heckled by two stupid green bints. The audience seemed to be right behind her, which, I much admit, is surprising. I like her, maybe not because she will be the one to lead the country out of the shit we are in, but because I believe that she believes. Boris was good at talking, but his agenda depended on who he'd spoken to last. I think Liz will try to stick to her agenda. That all depends on how many self interested back stabbers crawl out from under their rocks.
The BBC, of course, will focus on the couple of minutes of protest, but that's because they are a bunch of Marxists.

You misspelt 'Marxist', fairly sure the word you meant begins with 'C'  >:D

I prefer Trussy over Sunak, but was impressed  by  Braverman who didn't pull her punches.

Apparently Truss is the first British PM who went to a comprehensive school, as did William Hague who became leader but  not PM.

Most Labour PM's have been privately educated. Blair certainly was.

Just an observation.

Plenty of good talk from both, but talk is cheap. The test will be how they stand up to the onslaught from the immigration industry and all the other vested interests who make fortunes out of destroying whats left of the UK.
We need a Thatcher on steroids to make headway against the omnishambles the country is now in.
Time will tell.

I thought the protesters having a 2nd sign ready was quite amusing tbh  :), I'm pretty sure she's not the first non privately educated PM though

She didnt claim to be. She claimed to be the first who was educated at a Comprehensive school.
She may be right. I certainly cant think of another.
The only possible candidate would probably be Brown, but I believe he was a Grammar school boy.
I think Thatcher may have been the first Grammar/ non private educated. Pretty sure all the others since were privately educated.

Edward Heath went to a grammar school.

Can't think of anything positive to say about his time as PM......

Didnt know that. Just assumed he would have been private. Very posh and closet gay has private written all over it.  :)
He was an atrocious traitorous liar of a PM. Should have been hung while we still had hangmen.

The Tory party of the time were snotty posh boy toffs and would refer to Heath as a grammar school oink when he became leader in 1965.
