General Car Chat / Re: New MOT rules from Jan 12
« on: 02 December 2011, 07:24:27 »
Borrowed a mate of mines ramps the other day to do an oil change. He's an MOT tester and has been for years - said from next year HIDs will be a fail too. Shame that. Will people just be swapping them out for normal bulbs before the test and refitting or leaving them in and hoping for the best?

My car is almost there, got the headlight washers. Self leveling and I'll be sorted. Although I begrudge spending money on something like that when the lights are perfectly aligned and don't dazzle anyone with them being in proper projector lenses too.

if the hid's (aftermarket bulb kits) dont have self leveing headlights and washers there classed as illigal anyway but im a tester iv got those kits on my car and tbh i wouldnt fail them to me there just brighter bulbs

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / switches and there positions
« on: 19 November 2011, 18:28:59 »
i have an expolice 94 model v6 manual and i was fitting heated leathers out of my dads old dead omega but the switches for the heated seats in his are at either end of all the switchs but mine has a switch to operate the cabbin light when doors open and at the other end is traction control . i think the police have pi*sed about with the wireing and where the switches go as my dads car has the tc button next to the sterio and no cabbin lamp switch.
the wires are under the seats for the heated seats and i have already pluged the back seats in and the heated seats work i just need to find out where the front switches are ment to go
