According to hid he might be the new Fred Dibnah.

What I want to know is how can anyone who drinks that much tea manage a lap of the IOM without stopping? Or was that the cause of the crash? A bladder full of pg tips is enough to destabilise anything.

Is it me or have the boys in blue been cracking down on special plates? I know you can still buy the registrations, but seem to see less of the modified spacing, black screw covers in odd positions etc than perhaps a year or two back.

ps, I'm with Tunnie. We had acl 10x on an xr3 years ago, my wife's initials. Didn't give it a second thought when I chopped it in for a carlton.

'What are you looking at? I might have known' is a typical one sided conversation around here. Closely followed by 'shall I fetch your anorak?'

To be fair though she recognizes the benefit derived, and as I'm a 'bloke' interested in 'stuff' it might as well be something I can put to practical use, albeit a little too frequently ;)

Plus it's so much more pleasant than listening to  me ranting at the box all night.

Ahem!

Back to the original topic, I have learnt an absolute ton of stuff that has saved me money and kept the old nail running and am eternally grateful to all those who take their time to pass on their knowledge.  If I had to single out the one thing that kept her out of the crusher during her darkest hour when time and patience was at an all time low and nothing else seemed to make sense, then that thing is...

D-L-K's phone number.

There I've said it, and it feels so much better to have it out in the open :D

Generally none, for all the reasons others put so succinctly.

Occasionally the 'Eenin Stannit' freebee that mrs boatboy brings out of London.

Remember getting a gallon of 2* and 2 strokes of the 2 stroke pump and still get change from quid in the late 70s.
I can only ever remember seeing one of these 2 stroke oil pumps. Couldn't you dial in somewhere what ratio of mix you wanted?  :-/

Think an fs1e would fold in the middle if I sat on one now, fuel is not the only thing that has inflated.
A mate's Fizzy was the very first 'bike' I had a go one, up & down the 'backs' (between the terraced housing - like the opening shots of Boreination St)

Now you mention it I think you're right. I seem to remember a twisty knob on the top giving the choice 1:20, 1:25 or something like that. Most of them looked like fire extinguishers and came on a little trolley. 7p per shot rings a bell, 1 shot being sufficient for 1/2 gallon.

Head and shoulders worked for me recently, and a good scalp massage cleans your nails as well.

Used to use it after rugby as it was the only shampoo that removed the muck and adhesive from the stretchy elastoplast tape used to keep my ears on.

Didn't mean to sound like a back street courier, what I was meaning was concerning the bits being up to the quality described and expected.

Naturally I would take great care :y

When you planning to do the deal?

Watfords local to me and could meet you halfway sometime. Can you make m1 jct 18 in an hour.

Parts condition would have to be at your risk though, dont fancy being responsible for that.

What was the comedy sketch show where Rowan Atkinson played a copper who had arrested someone for wearing a loud shirt during the hours of darkness?

Perfect for those often needed airfield to airfield via one straight road delivery runs, not so good for nearly every other yard in the country.

One if not the greatest advantage of my former years as a company car driver was not having to worry about where you parked, who might park next to you, or for that matter, what pub you left it outside overnight :D

Sadly good ol' Gordon took all the fun out of it though.
