I read the other day that, despite the actual fridge having a ten year life, the company supplying it stops providing updates for the software after two years or so. It then becomes a security risk.

Presumably in order to be able to order food and watch tellybox, it needs all your information and, because it's a fridge, it's probably as secure as a beach bar in Thailand.

FTFY. And there isn't much budget left in the cost of a fridge to write decent firmware. They'll be like "smart" TVs, wireless doorbells, security cameras and, to a certain extent, modern cars. Might work for the first 6 months, but then revert to complete "dog eggs"...

Got to agree with you Rae. I've felt shit at various times since my jabs, i've had 3. My A/F returned too which resulted in having a cardioversion. .
Whether it's the vaccine or not i don't know that's my lot.

Have had A/F now for nearly two years and all I get is the GP prescribing Betablockers, wont refer me or look further, in fact the GP has never actually seen me

Which? have just got a bee in their bonnet over this, and righlty so.  I think, from what I've seen, they have a particular hatred of LG (DTM, please dont be sad ).


But everyone daft enough to buy all this shit, like smart doorbells and thermostats are just creating a way into your home nework for the Ruski's and Chinks.  I personally believe that once an IoT system stops getting security updates, it should brick itself to be a dumb device, esp in the days of consumers having gigabit links for the hackers to borrow.

Atrial fibrillation can mean that any op you go for (hernia etc) can be set back as the surgeon will do a pre-op and cancel it when the monitor shows an abnormal rise in the heart bpm. They can’t risk it until it’s been stabilised. After my heart op my bpm would go from 44bpm (a bit too low) right up to 168bpm (way too high) just by getting out of bed. They should follow it up, so I suggest taking a bone in to the Practice Reception Rottweiler to give her something to chew on while she makes out she’s doing you such a favour by actually booking you an appointment with a GP.

Yes it can be scary a few times I’ve thought my heart was going to bounce out of my chest like a runaway diesel on oil but thankfully I don’t get it often👀

I feel a bit like that sometimes. Afaik, there is no such thing as a Doctors appointment at my surgery anymore.
The lucky ones get to have a chat on the phone in about four weeks time.

AF can be very serious 
you are at a much higher risk of a stroke or heart attack
it needs monitoring  and regular checks by GP
you can buy "fitness "  watches that monitor your heart rate with a smart phone app for sub £20
you can also buy blood pressure /pulse monitor machines sub £20
that's cheaper than the time off work to go to the docs (if you can even get an appointment)
if you discover your blood pressure or pulse is high or low you have a good reason for a doctor to see you .

Many blokes don't bother with health checks , be warned , blokes have hearts too ,and they can fail

My blood pressure pills gave me palpitations until I got used to them.
MSG is the main culprit now. Some takeaways must really go for it because it only happens when I eat certain meals from certain takeaways.
