My blood pressure pills gave me palpitations until I got used to them.
MSG is the main culprit now. Some takeaways must really go for it because it only happens when I eat certain meals from certain takeaways.
you best avoid processed food then Uncle Stemo

stick to boiled sprouts, cabbage , fish etc
your heart will be fine , you'll just die of boredom

A British General has said that sending tanks and weapons to Ukraine has weakened Britains ability to respond to an attack from Russia.

No sh1t sherlock. In my conspiracy theory of some months ago, the West sends weapons to the Ukraine and fails to gear up replacement production. Russia softens up the West for a year then the Chinese kick off along with North Korea. Game over. Russia moves Poseiden into place this month. Hypersonic missiles too.

AF can be very serious  :o
you are at a much higher risk of a stroke or heart attack
it needs monitoring  and regular checks by GP
you can buy "fitness "  :P watches that monitor your heart rate with a smart phone app for sub £20
……….

I have the watch but also have a Kardia Mobile gadget that records to the Kardia app. The benefit of the Kardia is that it saves your readings and you can send the history as a .pdf to a heart specialist/doctor. It’s far more accurate as well.  :y

The stuff we're sending to Ukraine would be no use to us against the Russians. You've just mentioned hypersonic missiles, tanks don't shoot them down. We have our own missiles and, judging from the way basic Ukrainian stuff managed to get 300 miles into Russian territory with even being noticed, they would get where we wanted them to.

My "EL CHEAPO" watch records heart rate, sleep etc and records it to ab app by blue tooth  :)
I'm too tight to pay for expensive apps and gadgets
I'd have a heart attack looking at my bank statement   :o
so that makes the Kardia Mobile gadget & Kardia app counterproductive  :D

if my cheap watch or blood pressure monitor show anything seriously abnormal then the hospital or GP can 12 lead me with the fancy toys the NHS wastes millions £££ on ,
i theory ...the tax/NI I pay means i'm "entitled" to NHS medical treatment  :-\

Lets hope you are right. The German co that make Leopard tanks say if sent , it will be 2024 before they could be replaced.

We both have Fitbits. We have leant them to friends. Two discovered they have sleep apnoea ( not surprising - I suspect it is a huge silent problem) and one a dangerously slow heart rate which has been fixed with a pacemaker.  Cheap self help tool even in none premium mode. One day everyone will have some future version which will flag you to come in to the nhs for further tests etc.

My Mum got a pacemaker fitted in June 22 , she has a gadget by her bed that interrogates data from the pace maker and forwards it to cardiac care computers at the hospital ,any issues get flagged and she gets called in to the hospital  :)
pretty impressive tech these days

That’s right, they give them to everyone who has a new pacemaker fitted now.  :y  It reads better if you just hover it over the pacemaker for a few seconds and then put it back in its docking station to send the reading. As you say, impressive tech.  :y

I think we'll have glassed the northern hemisphere over long before we need tanks to fend off the Russians. ;)

Our tanks are far better off being sent to Ukraine to do some damage to the Russians than sitting here idle, plus the fact that we won’t lose any of our service men should they get blown up. To be honest it’s quite obvious that Ukraine is doing our job for us, the Russians have been ramping up sneak operations against us for many years now besides releasing poison on UK streets, we need to take the opportunity now that everyone is mostly on board to teach them a lesson.

Although, usually, not that dangerous, it can be very scary.

Atrial fibrillation can mean that any op you go for (hernia etc) can be set back as the surgeon will do a pre-op and cancel it when the monitor shows an abnormal rise in the heart bpm. They can’t risk it until it’s been stabilised. After my heart op my bpm would go from 44bpm (a bit too low) right up to 168bpm (way too high) just by getting out of bed. They should follow it up, so I suggest taking a bone in to the Practice Reception Rottweiler to give her something to chew on while she makes out she’s doing you such a favour by actually booking you an appointment with a GP.  :)

Oh I have spoken to a GP over the phone but, my 'score' is apparently low so no anti coags and no referal (even with private medical and saying I have private medical).

My Afib is regularly irregular so constant if that makes any sense

I have a smart watch with basic ECG  :y
