……
An XE does deserve some "enthusiastic" driving round the lanes. :y
Damn right, its a hoot in the twisties, even in her under powered version.  Still, a mere 163bhp means you have to no slow down for the bends  >:D

See, this is where we differ. You are still hooning around like a teenager whereas I am genuinely remorseful and haven’t driven at speed since …….. well …… Monday as it happens, but that’s not the point.  :)

That would need about 100bhp less to qualify for 'mere.'
And you can still get held up in the bends by far more powerful cars when you've only got 60bhp going through a Borg-Warner35.....

You don't necessarily have to drive at speed to enjoy twisties.  :y

The bit where you have to drive at speed is to get past all the utter, utter dullards who driver everywhere at 35 MPH whether it be dark, light, rain, dry, past a school, on black ice.

I agree about the drivers that are oblivious to their speed. You follow them thinking that they are nervous/cautious, only for them to continue at the same speed through a built up area.  ::)

Yep, they're everywhere. 40mph in a 50, then 40mph in a 30. Bastards.

No, I am a reformed character, honest, officer.  I felt my 4 hours of patronisation was the best value course I have ever attended at nigh on £100, plus £4 for each coffee.  What more boredom could I ask for?

In these parts, the morons drive at 15mph below the limit, and do all they can to ensure others do.

Which soon becomes dangerous, as drivers get frustrated and attempt more risky over takes, or lots of undertakes on dual carriageways.

Then they send the dash cam vids to the advertised address and you get a NIP through the door. Entrapment.

Probably.  But being a reformed character, I don't rise to it.

But, yes, the old bill need to grow a pair and class driving excessively slowly is dangerous, and start enforcing the lane hogging rule, before the public lose any remaining faith in them

And that’s more dangerous than speeding. Makes you wonder what’s happened to the world.
